Risk Disclosure

Trading forex, contracts for difference (CFDs) and other leveraged financial instruments involves substantial risk and can lead to rapid losses. Leveraged exposure can magnify relatively small market movements. These products are not appropriate for every person, and this website is not a substitute for understanding the legal agreement and risks for your own account.

Leverage and margin risk

A small margin deposit may control a much larger notional position. For example, with 1:100 leverage, a $100 margin can represent $10,000 in exposure; a 1% adverse price move on that notional amount could equal approximately $100 before fees, assuming no position adjustments. This is an arithmetic illustration, not a trading scenario or prediction. Margin requirements can change, positions can be liquidated automatically and losses may exceed expected limits; whether negative-balance protections apply depends on the specific agreement and jurisdiction.

Market and execution risk

News, low liquidity, gaps and rapid volatility can widen spreads or create slippage. Stop-loss instructions do not always execute at the requested price. Order execution, available products, trading hours and costs can differ by symbol, account, platform and server conditions. A spread advertised as 'from 0.0 pips' does not mean all trades execute at zero spread or zero total cost.

Counterparty and regulatory risk

Before funding a broker, verify the company named in your agreement, any claimed licence and its permitted activities. A regulator's authorisation of one entity does not automatically cover another entity or confer the same customer protections across countries. Account funding and withdrawals also involve payment providers and operational risks.
